Smoothies – The Tasty and Healthy Wonderful Drink

I was looking for a refreshing drink and tasty to get more fruit in my diet. An innovative formula that would be very annoying thing of everyday beverages is what I had in mind. My explorations into the world of food made me wait for this discovery, a wonderful variety of smoothies, the only sure out to be explored.

Smoothies made their way to the food scene in the U.S. in the 1960s. However, if it was limited to grocery stores. Today, smoothies are a very popular drink and in cafes and coffee shops everywhere. There are now also “smoothie” bars, which are dedicated exclusively to the delicious drink.

Smoothies offer a delicious combination of fruit with a range of appetizing ingredients that sure is a wonderful way to start my day. In fact, a thirst-quencher on hot summer days. A smoothie is not a simple thirst quencher, it comes with the added advantage of several health benefits. Fried Squash Flowers – A Summertime Treat

Use squash, pumpkin or zucchini flowers for this delicious recipe that is still so popular in Italy. If you have a garden and plants of all kinds have squash, you will know how miraculous growth spurts are during the hot weather of summer. Normal-sized mass in the morning and dinner time. Red Velvet Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting

I like to affectionately call “product placement Red Velvet Cake.” When scrolling through the images you see what I mean. First, let me tell you about Enrique, my Kitchen Aid. It was a very special birthday gift this year. The fairy kitchen help (aka Sweetcheeks) left him in the middle of the line when I came home from school. We have been in love since. You see what it says on the side … Professional HD, a special gift … Can!

The cake recipe is courtesy of Paula Dean and the Food Network site, but the frosting all over my hand. In the southern deserts will I turn to her and the Neelys. Before starting this recipe, please remember that we do our mise en place first! Mise en Place – A place for everything.

Cake:

2 cups sugar

1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature

2 eggs

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 ounces red food color

2 1/2 cups cake flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup buttermilk

1 vanilla extract
